One of the best experiences our students often discuss is studying abroad in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. There are excellent schools in each city and you can practice English everywhere you go. Below are some of Languagelab.com's favorite cities.

  1. New York City - There's no place like the Big Apple. Visit the Empire State Building or get a hot dog at Yankee Stadium. New York City has a population of over 22 million people from all over the world! There isn't any city in the world quite like it.
  2. San Francisco - Located in California near the Pacific Ocean, San Francisco was founded by the Spanish in the 18th century. Visit the Golden Gate Bridge, find out what it's like to be locked up at Alcatraz, or eat some authentic Chinese food in Chinatown. Have fun, dude!
  3. Chicago - Affectionately known as the "Windy City," Chicago boasts the tallest building in the United States, the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower). Enjoy the excellent views while eating the best pizza you will ever try.
  4. Los Angeles - Bask in the sun with your favorite celebrities, surf on the beaches of Santa Monica, or watch a live production of your favorite television show. With all the media production in and around the city, you will have no problem improving your English skills!
  5. Boston - Originally a colonial city in the British Empire, Boston is a charming northeastern city with unforgettable food and delicious deserts. Enjoy fabulous Italian food in the North End or catch a baseball game at world famous Fenway Park.

  1. London, England - As the biggest city in Europe one of the financial capitals of the world, London offers an unparalleled study abroad experience. Board a flight on the London Eye to get breathtaking views of the city. Say hello to the queen at Buckingham Palace after a riding a black cab to one of the city's beautiful urban parks.
  2. Sydney, Australia - Sydney is the biggest city in Australia. Take a stroll along the harbor with excellent views of the Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. Catch the waves at the world famous Bondi Beach and be sure to dine in one of Sydney's excellent restaurants.
  3. Edinburgh, Scotland - Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and home to some of the UK's greatest universities. Much of city is composed of historic buildings.   4. Dublin, Ireland - Despite being located on the coast of Ireland, Dublin was actually founded by Viking settlers! Visit St. Patrick's Cathedral, the largest in Ireland or the Guinness Storehouse to sip a pint of the brewery's famous dark beer.
  5. Toronto, Canada - Toronto is the largest city in Canada and located along the shores of Lake Erie, one of the five Great Lakes located on the border of the United States and Canada. Visit the top of the CN Tower, one of the largest free standing structures in the world. See some of the planet's most interesting wildlife at the Toronto Zoo.
