Mike Solly

Mike has taught all levels of learner and worked in many countries around the world. He has a first degree in English and drama and a Masters in English. He has written materials for Cambridge University Examining Board and was in the original writing team for the Cambridge Business Certificate (BEC) exams. He also worked for the British Council setting up a new teaching centre in Saudi Arabia, and later managing English language projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In recent years Mike has been working in English programmes for teachers in developing and transitional countries and has given plenary presentations at a number of international conferences in the Middle East and Europe. He has been working with Languagelab for the past one and a half years.

Dafne, from Venezuela, has been an EFL/ESP teacher as well as being an experienced teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language. She has taught from k-12 to graduate level. She graduated in Language Teaching, has a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics, and a Ph.D in Education. Since 2002, she has been teaching blended and online courses. She is the coordinator of the TESOL Electronic Village Online, and has co-moderated the Becoming a Webhead (BaW) online Workshop since 2004.

Omar started teaching English as a Foreign Language in 1994. He has taught English in the UK, Turkey, Poland and Portugal since then. Omar has an RSA Delta and he has also worked as an FCE examiner and taught ESOL classes in the UK. He worked for the British Council from 1997 to 2008 as an English teacher, a specialist teacher for Information and Communication Technologies. More recently he worked as an IT consultant to British Council schools worldwide. Omar joined the team at language lab in 2008 and currently lives on Vancouver Island, Canada.

Cristina is qualified in teaching both English and Spanish. She also works for the teacher training faculty in the Language and Literature department teaching English language and methodology, where she is an adjunct lecturer.
